heal a planet?
A foundational living map for examining humanity’s interconnected challenges through thirteen complementary perspectives. Not one grand explanation. Not thirteen physical dimensions. A disciplined way to widen the question before narrowing the response.
WHY A GLOBAL CHALLENGES DESK?
The problems do not respect newsroom departments.
Climate affects food, health, migration and conflict. Inequality changes exposure to every shock. Information systems influence whether communities cooperate. Technology can distribute knowledge or concentrate power. Treating each problem alone may hide the feedback loops that keep it alive.
The 13D method does not replace specialist expertise. It creates a shared editorial frame in which scientific evidence, history, lived experience, ethics, systems analysis and possible futures can meet without being confused with one another.

THE PUBLICATION STANDARD
Every report keeps its uncertainty visible.
Each investigation will distinguish Established Evidence, Interpretation, Lived Experience / Testimony, Hypothesis and Speculation. It will identify affected communities, disagreements, counter-evidence, proposed interventions, possible harms, measurable indicators and unresolved questions.
The aim is not to make every problem more complicated. It is to stop simple answers from hiding complicated consequences.
