73 + 42 − four exact name matches − one singular/plural variant. This is a mixed-level label count, not 110 independent research subjects.
Possible aliases
“DMT” and “lived experience” need scope checks. “Indigenous knowledge” remains related to the public cultural-knowledge label pending contextual review.
What was actually merged?
The exact matches are consciousness, ibogaine, music and philosophy. “Near-death experiences” and “near death experience” are the same label in plural and singular form. Other connections are recorded as 14 narrower terms, 18 related terms, one related term requiring review, one composite label and one workflow label without a direct public match. Narrower or related does not mean duplicate.
Reading the science figures
PRISM r99 records 475 external-source metadata entries and 471 candidate Big Question links. The six latest publication entries include four passage-meditation reports from one underlying trial family. All external entries remain unassessed for evidence and have unknown rights status; candidate links are not accepted edges. No unique count of independent studies or confirmed findings can be inferred from the publication total.
Method: compare the reproducible 73-name public census with the 42 labels in the saved PRISM r99 topics table; normalize case and punctuation; merge four exact names and one clear singular/plural form.
