A small chain of
human encounters.

The record begins on the evening before ICPR at Coffeeshop Birdy on Schoterweg: a conversation with a hippy who recalled taking LSD in the 1960s, the warning “You know too much,” and a recommendation for Showarma Grillroom Holyland in central Haarlem. At Holyland, food, laughter and a conversation about the Library of Alexandria became part of the remembered chain from which the playful 7D image emerged.

On Saturday, the thread continued near the conference in central Haarlem: a man blowing enormous bubbles in the square, shortly after six multicoloured light-up bubble sabres had been bought as gifts for people met along the way—including a rapper whose conference work explored MDMA.
