Contested empirical claims and speculative mechanisms

A dependable transfer of information outside known channels would be scientifically consequential. The same is true of reliable information about future random events. The size of the imagined impact must remain separate from the strength of the evidence for any particular effect.

01

Telepathy: test the primary outcome first

In a preregistered telephone-telepathy replication, participants identified the caller correctly in 294 of 604 trials, or 48.6%, against a 50% chance baseline. The primary hypothesis was not supported. A favourable post-hoc subgroup comparison cannot replace that outcome.

Target selection, response frequencies, blinding, leakage and analysis choices matter. Chance is not always the number printed in a headline; it must follow the actual design. This replication is distinct from the separate telephone study discussed elsewhere on AkashicNET, which has a correction trail.

02

Precognition: positive claims need resilient replication

The Transparent Psi Project attempted to reproduce a specified precognition effect with a design negotiated across differing viewpoints. Its main result was compatible with chance. A published correction documented procedural deviations; those details should remain visible even though the authors did not regard them as overturning the null conclusion.

A later three-study project involved 26,483 participants and 420,472 critical trials. None reproduced the original above-chance result. An opposite-direction pattern that appeared in earlier analyses did not replicate in the third study. This constrains the tested paradigm; it is neither a proof that every possible psi claim is false nor a reason to promote a transient anomaly as an established ability.

Intention and physical events

Ordinary intentions influence the world through bodies, tools and communication. The stronger micro-psychokinesis claim concerns an influence beyond those known mechanisms. A large random-number experiment reported evidence favouring its tested null model.

The scientific term “observer” in quantum measurement does not itself establish that human wishes control outcomes. A persuasive anomalous result would need independent hardware checks, a specified effect, a suitable statistical model and replication that resists selective time windows or analyses.

04

An Akashic record: history, metaphor and testable proposals

Historical scholarship traces the Akashic Records concept through reinterpretations of akasha and Theosophical thought. That genealogy helps explain an idea; it does not demonstrate a retrievable store of all events.

A proposed access experiment would need specific targets hidden from participants and investigators, prospective timestamps, blind scoring and a count of all attempts. Even accurate hidden-target information would not uniquely identify a cosmic archive as its source. Channelling and synchronicity can be studied as experiences and meaning-making; an external information claim adds a separate burden of testing.

The next useful questions

What would change
the assessment?

  1. Preregister the exact claim, chance model, stopping rule, exclusions and primary analysis.
  2. Use concealed targets, response locking and independent audits of sensory and digital leakage.
  3. Publish null results, corrections and all relevant replications alongside positive findings.
  4. Distinguish a statistically unusual result from a practical ability and from a proposed mechanism.

Conditional scenario

If it happened

  • Reliable telepathy could reshape privacy and communication; small disputed effects do not establish that scenario.
  • Robust precognition could force revisions to how information and causal order are understood, depending on the demonstrated mechanism.
  • An accessible cosmic memory archive is a speculative scenario; its global impact rating does not make its existence more likely.

These implications are editorial scenario analysis. Their scale and direction depend on what is demonstrated, who benefits and how institutions respond.
